Valley City holds three events each summer:
July 4th – The Liverpool Township Historical Society, whose purpose is to preserve the history and give back to the community, coordinates all activities during the day that include a parade, Antique and Classic Vehicle show at the Mill Stream Park, and the evening’s entertainment before the fireworks display. The Valley City Community Group (VCCG) will coordinate the evening fireworks show at Mill Stream Park. The Festival attracts thousands from the community.
2018 Street Fair – August 17 – 19: Attended by over 10,000 people, the Valley City Fire Department Association has used this community event as a fund-raiser for the past 83 years. The profits from the Street Fair are used to keep pace with the increase in service requests by the community rather than increase property taxes.
2018 Annual Frog Jump Festival – August 19: The VCCG, whose primary focus is to enhance the quality of life in our community through partnerships with business and individuals through historic preservation, economic development, and promotion, runs the Annual Frog Jump Festival. The Frog Jump Festival will be held in the Mill Stream Park and is typically attended by over 3,000 people.
