Victoria Woodhull for US President, 1872 – Brought to you by Liverpool Township Historical Society

October 16 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Ohioan Victoria Woodhull ran against Ulysses S. Grant for president in 1872 when women couldn’t even vote. As if that wasn’t enough of a problem, she was too young to be president AND she was in jail on election day! But this fearless fighter for equal rights didn’t let any of that stop her.  Rising above her poverty-stricken background and tumultuous family life, this aggressive activist for women’s rights accomplished more than anyone could have expected.

Be present when Bette Lou Higgins, Artistic Director of Eden Valley Enterprises (https://www.edenvalleyenterprises.org/)paints Victoria’s life story with words and pictures.
