Valley City, known for its welcoming spirit and vibrant local culture, hosts four major festivals annually, bringing together locals and visitors for unforgettable celebrations. These festivals offer a glimpse into our charming township’s rich traditions and lively atmosphere. Here’s a look at the four standout events:

The Valley City Annual Independence Day Celebration 250th USA Anniversary (July 4)
Valley City comes alive every summer with the excitement of the 4th of July Celebration. This family-friendly event includes a dazzling fireworks display presented by Mad Bomber Fireworks Production, parades, a car show, and live music that capture the essence of American independence and local pride. 50% MORE fireworks this year!

The Annual Frog Jump (July 19)
Each year, Valley City hosts one of its most beloved and unique events—the Annual Frog Jump. A highlight of the summer season, this quirky and fun competition draws participants of all ages who compete by encouraging frogs to jump the furthest distance.  Beyond the famous frog-jumping contest, the festival includes food vendors, kids’ games, craft vendors, entertainment, and other family-friendly activities, making it a perfect day out for everyone. The Annual Frog Jump has become a true Valley City tradition, bringing a touch of whimsy and a lot of laughs while celebrating the township’s love of fun, family, and local culture.

VC Fire Association Annual Street Fair (Aug 14-16)
The Annual Street Fair offers a wonderful blend of summer activities for all ages. Featuring craft vendors, food stalls, live performances, bingo, kids’ games, and family-friendly activities, this festival brings together family and friends to enjoy some late summer fun while supporting local businesses and artisans.  

The Valley City Christmas in the Valley (Dec 12-13)
During the winter, Valley City transforms into a holiday wonderland for the Christmas Celebration. The event includes an evening sing-along, festive decorations, holiday shopping, local food vendors, a Chili Cook-Off, Storytime stories by Mrs. Claus, a Santa parade, and Santa visits. It’s a heartwarming way to kick off the holiday season with the whole community.
