Food Box & Pantry

Sharing with Those in NEed

Valley City Community Group, LifeSpring Community Church and the Valley City Boy Scouts of America Troop 502 have combined their efforts to coordinate, build and install a Food Pantry Box at the Valley City Depot, 6615 Center Road, for those in need. The Boy Scouts built and donated the box on Saturday, May 16, 2020 in a secure lighted location with the blessings of Liverpool Township trustee Paul Schaefer who said “We [the trustees] are absolutely happy to “Okay” this for the community. It’s a great idea and thanks to LifeSpring [Community Church], Valley City Boy Scouts and the Valley City Community Group for doing this.”

The Concept is Simple

Take what you need, share what you can. LifeSpring Church with the help of the VCCG members keep the box stocked as best they can but the community is welcome to stock the box as well with non-perishable, shelf stable foods. The box gets very hot and very cold and so that must be considered when making food donations.

If you would like to donate, you are always welcome to donate food for those in need at LifeSpring Church on Lester Road. A second box is located at their front entry. You can place new, shelf stable, non-perishable foods in that box as or leave at their door and it will be given to those in need within our community.
